Acorn: With New Taxpayer Funding Courtesy of the Porkulus Bill, Acorn Launches A “Surge” In the Liberal’s “War On Wealth”.

(Feb 19, 2009) — Controversial organization ACORN takes what some might characterize as the next step in a public relations campaign to harm its own image.

ACORN has faced lawsuits and investigations in numerous states. It has been tied, in particular, with voter registration fraud.

President Obama represented ACORN in a 1995 lawsuit, and the group’s community organizing mission dovetails with Obama’s own background. In addition, ACORN is believed to be eligible to receive federal funding from the stimulus bill that Obama just signed into law.
