I’ve been in litigation with Countrywide for over 5 years. They took $1200 out of my escrow account four times in 2 and 1/2 years for in-house forced-placed flood insurance, on a house that is NOT in a flood zone. After proof was sent, they would “cancel” the policy, but the money would never find it’s way back into my escrow account. They then tried to cover their tracks by filing a les pendens against me claiming I wasn’t making my payments. Sneaky huh?
